Unattended ModeAfter successful Configuration, you can execute OOF-Reset in Unattended Mode. In this mode, OOF-Reset will work without any user interface and will write status information into Windows Event Log. Unattended Mode is useful if you want to use OOF-Reset as scheduled Task within Windows Scheduler or any other scheduler (using command line parameter). You will find the Windows Scheduler in the Control Panel of your computer as "Scheduled Tasks".
Double click the icon "Scheduled Tasks"
Double click "Add Scheduled Task" to start the Scheduled Task Wizard.
Click "Next" on the first page
Find "OOF-Reset Unattended Mode" and click "Next"
Select "Daily" (or any other option) and click "Next". You may change the display name of the task.
Select desired "Start time" and "Start date" and click "Next"
Enter the Windows user account and the corresponding password under which OOF-Reset should be executed and click "Next" It is very important that this user can logon to the Exchange server with the Account and server name specified here. Be sure the this Windows user account does have the right permissions on the Exchange server.
Now click "Finish" to save the configuration.
If you want to test whether the new task will work as expected, right click on "OOF-Reset Unattended Mode" and select "Run". After execution, you should check the Log File and the Windows Event Log about Errors and Warnings. Sometimes it is necessary that you have to you log interactive with the windows user account before it can be used to run OOF-Reset in Unattended Mode. With this logon, a windows user profile will be created which must exist to run OOF-Reset in Unattended Mode (see FAQ for more information)
If you prefer to use another task scheduler (e.g. CRON), you have to add "/unattended" to the command line when starting OOF-Reset.
