OOF-Reset Configuration

Exchange server

Select the exchange server OOF-Reset will use to create dynamic profiles in Unattended Mode. Select the server, on which the following exchange user account exists. In Interactive Mode (Execute), you personal Exchange profile will be used. Press "..." to select a server from a list.

Logon to server as user

This user account will be used to logon to the server specified above. This account will be used to read the content of the specified address books and to reset the Out of Office assistant of the users. To be able to to this, this account must have some special privileges on the server. You should create a special user for this. This account will only be used in Unattended Mode. Press "..." to select an account from a list.

Reset accounts in address books

Select the address books which contains the user accounts you want to be reset by OOF-Reset. Every containing user with Out of office assistant enabled will be reset, if the interval in days of the address book is reached since last reset (or since user enabled the assistant).

Press "Modify List" to change the current address book selection. You may select an unlimited number of address books. The order in which the address books will be reset is not specified. If one user account is member of more than one address lists, the lowest address list interval will be used.

Exceptions

If you want some users to be excluded form being reset, or you want to use a different interval for them, add these user accounts here. Regardless of being member of an address list above, the interval specified here will be used.
Press "Add" to add new user accounts, "Remove" to remove entries and "Edit" to modify name or interval of the selected user.

Log File

When OOF-Reset is in Unattended Mode, the result of every modification will be appended to the log file specified here. Please give path and name of the log file. You may use variables for date and time. Below you will see the estimated result of your input. The in which the log file will be written, will be created if it does not exist. Current time stamp, result code and the mail address of the user account will be written separated by tabs. In case of an error, the extended MAPI error code will be written too.

The log file will be written only in unattended mode. In interactive Mode (Execute) the "Journal" on the screen will be used.

Execute

Press "Execute" to start the Interactive Mode. In interactive Mode, your Exchange user account will be used to reset the Out of Office assistant. Maybe you will get some error because of insufficient privileges. The caption of the "Execute" button will be changed to "Cancel". Press "Cancel" to stop processing any time you want.

Test Mode

Just to see which changes would be made, without doing real modifications, select "Test Mode". If evaluation period has expired, only Test Mode is allowed.

Journal

Used in Interactive Mode instead of the log file. You may copy and paste the content in every other Windows application. You will see the result code, the mail address and in case of errors, the extended MAPI Error code. Journal is cleared every time you start the Interactive Mode.
