Welcome to SL-Message

SL-Message contains several programs. You don't have to install every program on every computer. This page contains an overview about the SL-Message components:

SL-Send

This program is the user interface for administrators and helpdesk staff. It provides the ability to send messages and manage you network clients. Please read in First Steps how to send messages.

SL-Listen

SL-Listen is the invisible heart of SL-Message. This Windows NT Service runs on every client. It receives messages and acts as the client part of the Remote Taskmanager. It also handles synchronization and replication of messages. It is controlled by several registry entries which may be set within SL-Send.

SL-PopUp

SL-PopUp shows messages and executes commands sent with messages. It is controlled by several registry entries which may be set within SL-Send.

SL-CSend

SL-CSend is useful if you want to send messages without user interaction (e.g. within CMD-Files, from Schedule-Service)

SL-PwdCrypt

This program encrypts passwords used by commands within messages.

ClientUpdate

ClientUpdate provides a very simple way for you to keep the already installed receive components (SL-PopUp, SL-Listen) up to date. Please read CLIENTUPDATE.RTF for more information.
